Travel Report: London

Last week I was from Thursday, 26th May until Sunday, 29th May in London. Reason for the trip was the UEFA Champions Leaque final match in London. Unfortunately, we got no tickets. We had no luck in the ticket lottery and the tickets on the market were too expensive (up 1.000 pound). But on Thursday evening we were in Fulham and watched the > Women’s final match between Lyon and Potsdam. Lyon was better and has won 2:0. Although the tickets cost only 5 pound, the match was not sold out. Only 15.000 people were in the stadium. Before the match the weather was very bad, thunder storm, hail and rain. Our hotel was the > Hotel Americana in the Glouchester Place near the Baker Street underground station. On Friday evening we were in the Theater Royal Drury Lane and watched the Shrek musical. In the evening we were in a pub near Oxford street and watched the > final match Manchester United againt FC Barcelona. Barcelona has won 3:1. The flights were operated by > easyJet from > Duesseldorf Airport to > London Gatwick. From London Gatwick I used the > Gatwick Express, which was expensive but fast.
