100.000 steps through Rome

with one comment

From Wednesday (15/07) until Monday (20/07) I was in > Rome, Italy. It was my third visit of Rome, since I was in 2002 and 2003 for a few days in Rome. This time we flight with > Air Berlin from Hamburg via Duesseldorf to Rome. Our hotel was the > Center 2 near > Termini station. The weather was very hot (over 35 degree Celsius). We visited the ‘standard’ tourist attractions like > Spanish Steps, > Trevi Fountain, > Colosseum, > Roman Forum, >Vatican City with the > St. Peter’s Basilica and > Sistine Chapel. On Friday evening we made a stop for a bite to eat at > Hostaria Antica. It is a restaurant at the > Via Appia Antica. At our first Rome visit in 2002 we were there, too. If you look for an interesting restaurant, I can recommend this. On Sunday we were at > Ostia Antica which is more interesting than the Roman Forum. On Sunday evening we visited a concert of > Bruce Springsteen in the > Stadio Olimpico.  For me, it was the best > concert I ever heard. On Monday afternoon we flight back with Air Berlin directly to Hamburg. Since I used my step counter I know that we walked 100.000 steps, which is about 50 or 60 km.

  1. Rome is really a city where you walk for miles!

I wish I could have been there at the Bruce Springsteen concert!
