Zweiter Heimsieg
Am Samstagnachmittag hat der SC Paderborn zu Hause gegen den FC Bayern München II mit 2:1 gewonnen. Dies war in dieser Saison zwar schon der dritte Heimsieg, aber erst der zweite bei dem ich live dabei war. Obwohl ich ja Fan vom FC Bayern München bin, war ich diesmal doch für Paderborn gewesen. Für die zweite Mannschaft von Bayern geht es in der 3. Liga im Prinzip nur ums Nicht-Absteigen.Eine zweite Mannschaft eines Profi-Vereins kann schließlich nicht in die 2. Liga aufsteigen.

The last view
The three weeks I was busy with a move to a new apartment. Since I lived nearly 14 years in my old apartment on the ‘beautiful’ Kaukenberg in Paderborn it was a little bit sad. But the moving was voluntary and now I have a larger apartment with two balconies. Further, I can walk to the office and not need the car. But maybe I will miss the view across Paderborn to the cathedral.

This week I got an e-mail with a link to a pdf file with several interesting Google mobile applications. Some interesting ideas and the user interface of some applications are good.
We have to fight weiter
Für alle Fans von Arminia Bielefeld gibt es neben der offiziellen Website nun auch eine Fan-Website. Ein ehemaliger Arbeitskollege hat sich die Mühe gemacht und eine schöne Website über Arminia Bielefeld zusammengestellt. Darüber kann auch der folgende Videoclip gesehen werden, welcher die typische ostwestfälische Freude bei einem Tor für die Arminia zeigt.
Präsentation ‘Prozesse und Projekte – wie Latte Macchiato’ ist online
Die Präsentationsfolien zu unserem Vortrag ‘Prozesse und Projekte – wie Latte Macchiato‘ auf der Powersphere 2008 sind online. Im Vortrag wurde versucht aufzuzeigen, wie Workflows und Projekte in der neuen PAVONE Process Control Suite auf Basis eines Java EE Application Server ausgeführt werden können. Dabei wurden in der Live Demo zunächst die Arbeitsplätze von Manuela Koch und Peter Schmidt – zwei Mitarbeiter eines fiktiven mittelständischen Unternehmens – gezeigt. Beide können ihre Arbeitsplätze an ihren Bedürfnissen ausrichten. Anschließend wurde gezeigt, wie aus einem Projektantrag (Workflow) ein Projekt (Bau einer Filiale) gestartet werden kann und eine Initiierung eines Workflows (Bauantrag) aus den Projektaufgaben durchgeführt werden kann. Da die Live Demo aus den Vortragsfolien nicht ersichtlich ist, kann die Umgebung im PAVONE Solution Center angesehen werden.
Second beta of an Atom/RSS sidebar plugin for IBM Lotus Notes 8.x is available
A new beta of the PAVONE NewsReader application with a sidebar plugin to reads the news is available. This version has some improvements. For example, it is not necessary to copy the database onto a server. Now, the plugin can read the news from a local database. Further, a right click menu is available. In the menu you have some options to open the news link, to open the feed website or to delete the news. Besides this, you have a new option to automatically refresh the news, for example every 30 minutes. If you are interested to test the beta version you can send me an e-mail. If you have not IBM Lotus Notes 8.x and like to see the plugin you can do this at the UKLUG booth of PAVONE on 18th and 19th September in London.
