Now they write about these widgets and the development in her own blog: dojoler – Developing Widgets with the Dojo Toolkit. Maybe some of the widgets are interesting for you…

PMI: Blogging for Business Results

leave a comment »

On the PMI.org website I found the article ‘Blogging for Business Results‘. It describes some reasons for the usage of blogs in projects. One reason could be to cut down the e-mails and meetings of a project team. In several cases a communication in a project team blog can be better than e-mails. If you write an article in a blog each project member can answer to the article at the same place. It is not necessary to respond to the e-mail, which will be lost in the e-mail boxes of each project member. But the face-to-face communication in a meeting is in some cases very important for the project success. In meetings a project member can become better acquainted with each other and can learn the behavior of the others.

Black is beautiful or Life is good

Since a few days I have my first Smartphone. It is the LG KS20. It is not much bigger than my (old) handy, a Benq-Siemens EF 81. The LG KS20 runs with Microsoft Windows Mobile 6, has Bluetooth and WLAN, 256 MByte ROM and a 240 * 320 touchscreen. Now, I have to transfer the data from the EF 81 to the KS20 and to install Lotus Traveller.

Bigger than Apple

leave a comment »

Today Napster opened a new MP3 download store. With more than 6 million songs it should be bigger than Apple’s iTunes. Maybe it will help Napster to get more revenues. Unfortunately, the store is not available in Germany. If you go to Napster.com you will be forwarded to Napster.de. So, I cannot test the store.

Dublin, ILUG and Business Partner search

leave a comment »

Two weeks and I will be in Dublin. The main reason for the journey is the ILUG. But I will fly some days before and will leave Dublin some days later. This means I have to watch the first games at the Uefa
Euro 2008
in an Irish pub… 🙂 Currently we are looking for new buisness partners in UK (or other parts of the world). We are a vendor of mainly IBM Lotus Notes/Domino based solutions, such as project management, workflow management or CRM. But some products runs in an Eclipse client or on an JBoss Application server. Our workflow engine is one of the longest existing IBM Lotus Notes/Domino-based workflow engines in the market. It has an extensive object-oriented API. As well as our interface to Microsoft Office or OpenOffice. Further we have some smaller products in our portfolio. For example a synchronization engine between IBM Lotus Notes/Domino databases or relational databases. Since four years we offer also an IBM Lotus Notes/Domino based RSS reader. If you are interested, please send me a message (mail at r-k.net) and maybe we can discuss this further in Dublin.
