Another Groupware…

leave a comment »

On Tuesday I was in Olpe (Germany) to a workshop of the Open-Xchange Hosting Edition (OX HE). Open-Xchange is a groupware system which is running on a Linux operating system. It provides a collaboration suite with email, calendar, contacts, tasks, bookmarks and an info store. The frontend of the OX HE is the same as for the OX Express Edition. Both frontends look like a modern AJAX-based frontend. The architecture has changed basically compared to the version 5 and makes a solid and thought-out impression. In the workshop we have installed a OX HE server in a VMWare session with a Debian operating system. If you want to take a look to the user interface you can do it in the PAVONE Solution Center or on the Open-Xchange website. Both websites allows it without registration.
