Bea Social Computing Suite 2.0

leave a comment »

On computerwoche.de I read an article (only in german) about three new tools from Bea. The tools are available in the new Bea Social Computing Suite 2.0. With these tools you should be able to create mashups and can tag and bookmark pages. Further, you can pull data into components from enterprise systems, RSS and Web services. But I think, blogs and teamplaces are not available. So, the tools can not be compared to IBM Lotus Connections and IBM Lotus Quickr.

Are you using Web 2.0 online tools?

An article (only in german) describes 10 online tools which should help to improve the users productivity. They are all for free or cheap. It is impressive what is possible with Ajax applications in a browser. For example, with gliffy you can create diagrams such as in Microsoft Visio. It is not so powerful, but it works.
