Part 1: Download options of Lotus Notes-based RSS Reader
In the release 8.5 of the PAVONE
NewsReader you have the choice
between two different download options: First you can download only the
text of a RSS/Atom news or second you can download the plain news website.
Both content will be displayed in the document preview window. By downloading
the plain news website the integrated Lotus Notes browser will used to
display the content. Otherwise only the text will be displayed. In the
view you can distinguish the used option by the icon: A full icon means
that the plain news website was downloaded and a half-full icon means that
only the news text was downloaded. Using the second option has the advantage
that you see the complete content of the news but has the disadvantage
that banner or other ads will be downloaded. Further, the first option
has the benefit that the downloading process is faster. A recommendation
is that you should use the first option by default and the second option
only for feeds in which the news text is empty and only a news subject
exists.
